Last updated: 2 November 2026

Your data, handled with care.

When you visit our website, place an order, or contact us, we process personal data. This policy explains which personal data we process, why we use it and what rights you have.

This statement applies to Sit-i.nl and the associated online shop. For additional services, such as Sit-i Pro and Sit-i Academy, the key points that apply are stated below.

1. Who is responsible?

Kinamics B.V. is responsible for the processing of personal data via this website and online shop.

Kinamics B.V.
Pompmolenlaan 26
3447 GK Woerden
Netherlands

Email: info@kinamics.nl
Telephone: +31 (0)6 22 67 69 84

2. What data do we use?

Depending on your contact with Sit-i, we process:

  • Contact details: name, address, email address, and telephone number.

  • Order details: products, billing and delivery address, payments, deliveries, and returns.

  • Account details: data required to manage your account, if you create an account.

  • Communication: questions, messages, and information you share with us.

  • Website data: for example IP address, browser, device, and cookie preferences.

We receive this data from you, through the use of our website, or from parties that assist with payment and delivery.

Payment service providers process the payment data required to handle your payment.

3. What do we use your data for?

We process personal data for a specific purpose and on a valid legal basis.

  • Ordering and delivery: to handle your purchase, payment, delivery, and any returns. This is necessary to perform our agreement.

  • Contact and support: to answer questions and provide service. This is done in preparation for or performance of an agreement, or based on our legitimate interest in handling questions carefully.

  • Administration: to comply with legal obligations.

  • Security: to prevent misuse and fraud. Our legitimate interest is a secure website and business operation. We take your privacy into account.

  • Newsletters: when you give permission. You can unsubscribe via any newsletter.

  • Website analysis and marketing: on the basis of permission when required. For cookies that do not require permission, we use an appropriate legal basis.

We need data required for an order to be able to fulfil it. Signing up for newsletters is voluntary.

4. Data from Sit-i Pro

Sit-i Pro makes the centre, rotation, and angle changes of Sit-i visible. You see the measurement data directly in the software.

This measurement data is currently not stored. Kinamics does not receive or store it. If a future version enables storage, this will happen locally on the user's computer. We will update this statement accordingly before that feature becomes available.

Measurement data are personal data when they can be linked to a person. Depending on the application, they may also provide information about health. Additional privacy rules apply to this.

A professional who uses Sit-i for their own clients is responsible for the processing of client data within their own service provision and informs clients about this.

5. Sit-i Academy

This Privacy Policy also applies to Sit-i Academy. We process account data, answers to assignments, progress, feedback, and contributions that you post yourself in the community.

We use this data to give you access, offer the training, and guide your learning process. This is done on the basis of the agreement for your participation.

The learning environment and community run on Huddle. Answers to assignments are stored in Baserow. These service providers process data on our behalf. Contributions in the community are visible to participants who have access to the relevant section.

If we start using AI to support feedback or assessment, we will inform participants about the data processing in advance. The final assessment remains with a human assessor.

The retention periods for your account and training data are stated in point 9.

6. Who do we share data with?

We share data to the extent necessary for our service provision or to comply with a legal obligation, for example with:

  • Shopify for the online shop;

  • payment and shipping service providers;

  • providers of hosting, software, and technical support;

  • administrative service providers;

  • competent authorities when legally required.

With parties that process personal data on our behalf, we make the required agreements about security and use.

Some service providers are themselves responsible for certain processing activities. Their own Privacy Policy also applies to this.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. Our online shop and Shopify

Our online shop runs on Shopify. Shopify processes personal data to enable the online shop, orders, checkout, and security. In doing so, Shopify acts on behalf of Kinamics.

Depending on the features you use and the services that are enabled, Shopify may also process personal data for its own purposes. Shopify itself is responsible for those processing activities.

More information about the use of your data and your privacy rights can be found in the Shopify privacy policy.

8. Cookies

We use cookies to make the online shop function and remember your preferences.

For marketing cookies and other cookies that require permission, we ask for permission in advance. You can adjust your choice via the cookie settings on our website.

Our Cookie Policy describes which cookies we use, why we use them and for how long.

9. How long do we keep data?

We keep personal data as long as they are needed for the described purpose or as long as the law requires.

  • Tax administration: usually seven years. For certain data, a longer statutory retention period may apply.

  • Order and service data: as long as necessary to handle the purchase, delivery, warranty, and any complaints or disputes.

  • Correspondence: up to two years after handling your question. We keep messages that are necessary for ongoing agreements, warranty, or disputes for as long as necessary for that purpose.

  • Webshop accounts: as long as the account is active. After termination, we remove the account data within three months, except for data for which a different retention period applies.

  • Sit-i Academy:

    Account data and qualification

    After twelve months without logging in, we delete the Academy account and linked personal data, including assignments, progress and feedback. You receive a reminder after eleven months; logging in restarts the period. An earned certificate remains evidence of completion. Keep your own copy; this does not provide ongoing access to course materials or an unconditional right to use the current Movement Expert title.

    Participation and current Movement Expert title status are assessed separately. Logging in alone is insufficient for this. See the Academy arrangements for access, title status and recovery. The other retention periods and statutory exceptions in this Privacy Policy continue to apply.

  • Sit-i Pro measurement data: this is currently not stored. Kinamics does not receive or store this measurement data. Therefore, no retention period applies to this.

  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe. After that, we only keep the limited data required to respect your unsubscribe request or to demonstrate previously given permission.

  • Cookies: according to the periods in our Cookie Policy.

Data that we must keep due to a legal obligation or an ongoing dispute, we keep exclusively for that purpose. After the retention period expires, we remove or anonymize the data.

10. Security and processing outside the EEA

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. We limit access to people and service providers who need the data.

Service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case, we ensure a permitted transfer, for example on the basis of an adequacy decision or European standard contractual clauses with any additional measures.

Via info@kinamics.nl you can request information about the safeguards that apply to your data.

11. Your rights

Depending on the processing, you can ask us to:

  • view your personal data;

  • correct or delete;

  • restrict processing;

  • transfer your data.

You can object to processing on the basis of a legitimate interest. You can always object to direct marketing.

Have you given permission? Then you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of the earlier processing.

Send your request to info@kinamics.nl. We will generally respond within one month. For a complex request, we may extend the period by a maximum of two months. We will inform you about this within the first month.

We may ask for additional information to carefully verify your identity.

You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

12. Automated decisions

Kinamics does not make solely automated decisions that have legal effects for you or otherwise significantly affect you.

13. Children

Our website and online shop are aimed at adults. If permission is required for an online service that is offered directly to a child under 16 years of age, we ask permission from a parent or legal representative.

Do you suspect that we are processing a child's data incorrectly? Then contact us.

14. Changes

In the event of changes to our service provision or data processing, we will update this statement. The date of the last change is stated at the top. For important changes, we will inform you where necessary.
